Yeah, they still have a huge potential for improvement in all sorts of ways.
But the legacy clouds won't be evolving any further. EA on the other hand is, and I think in the long term (if P3D want to stay relevant) it's the way to go. So diving into ways to mod and optimize EA/TrueSky/VolClouds and getting to know those puffy fellas a bit, certainly won't hurt
