Marc Stanford Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 So the FADEC system of the CFM for the busses (ECU), has a programming plug attached to it, can someone please explain what it is? I heard it contains software for the ECU to function but what exactly is in the software and what materials is the plug made out of? Is the plug like a USB that is connected to a computer that can program it before being inserted into the ECU? Questions like these are what make me appreciate the bus more
Paul Parkin Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 If it's anything like what I work with it'll simply be a (probably very slow) serial(!) port of some description. Serial is preferred for such things because you put A in one end and get A out of the other end.
