Fslabs Seat Selection Shortcut Button Key assignment

Featured Replies

Hello,

As you know some airlines have an SOP where the captain does both the taxi in and then taxi out but transfers controls to the FO shortly before takeoff and immediately after landing. I was wondering if you could assign a shortcut key for the seat selection using FSUIPC or any tool for that matter. Thank you.

The seat selection tool only changes the animations on the side stick.

Is there anyway to create a shortcut button for that?

Er... not true :). It does a whole bunch of other stuff too...

That other stuff is not mentioned in the introduction guide when it comes to mcdu options.

cause this is not very clear.

“SEAT SELECTION Set this selection to F/O if you intend to fly sitting on the first officer side.
Note that this will not automatically switch the viewpoint in the virtual
cockpit. It will however set which of the two sidesticks gets animated.”

I'll let Markus know and we can try to update the documentation!

I guess it needs updating for the  pending sidestick priority implementation anyway:)

Our upcoming update has extended Input Controls so that you can use dual side sticks, tillers, etc.
