Julio Bolaños Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Hi there, FSLABS A320 and A319 cannot set engine volume levels on P3D latest version HF2. No way to increase it. Even saving something different than zero (0) you always get 0. What's going on with this? I will appreciate your support. Julio Quote
Jamie Whiting Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Hi Julio, This is normal behavior when using the Airbus, it dynamically adjusts the volume sliders according to what it needs. The Airbus has got its own sound engine so does not rely on the P3D system, so it is just a case of letting it do its thing. From an audio point of view it is by far the most complex addon for P3D, with the Majestic Dash-8 a coming in second. 1 Quote
Andrew Wilson Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Hi Julio, To add to Jamie's post - the slider will be restored to your normal value when you next start P3D. So please just ignore the slider. If you want to adjust the engine sound volumes - you can do so through MCDU -> OPTIONS -> SOUNDS -> SOUND VOLUMES 1 Quote

I am not the only one to experience that. Thank you! Quote
James Goggi Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Both the latest and the previous (400). Quote
Norman Blackburn Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Hi @James Goggi I don't have v400 here but having just tried here mine were at the levels I set before restart. Quote
Ramon De Valencia Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 make sure your audio source in turned On before starting P3D. I have a Bose Soundbar connected through optical in. If if turn on the speaker after the p3d is already running I will get the same engine volume at 0, I can hear everything but the engines. I hope you can fix it this way. Quote

Norman, I started fighting with this few days before v415 was out. I wanted to increase the environment sound from 80% to 90% and I did not manage, although in the file A320gauges.ini the value 90 was correctly stored. Then I tried again with v415 but nothing, any value I change in the MCDU, when I restart I always get 50/80/50. I don't know what could prevent the values from staying, Anyway I am not the only one, see also https://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/22979-mcdu-sound-setting-reset/ and https://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/22947-mcdu-option-sound-volumes/&do=findComment&comment=172429 Thank you. Andrew Wilson Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Ok thanks James - looking at this now. Quote
Norman Blackburn Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 James, we know! Im just saying I tried now and mine (albeit newer than 400) worked. Andy is double checking. Quote
James Goggi Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Thank you, guys. I thought it was something related to FS2Crew, because, after installing it, when I quit P3D I get a CTD and maybe the changes are not stored. But it would be strange, given that they are correctly changed in the A320Xgauges.ini file. Quote
Andrew Wilson Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 It wasn't pulling in the Environment sound settings. I've just fixed. Thanks again. 1 Quote
James Goggi Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 Wow, great skills, Andrew, congratulations and thank you! Quote
