November 17, 2025Nov 17 For those of you wanting to improve your performance with FSL aircraft will benefit enormously from an inexpensive utility costing a mere 8GBP. Steam's Lossless Scaling has transformed the performance of Concorde in P3Dv5 for me but it will do the same for any aircraft in any sim. https://store.steampowered.com/app/993090/Lossless_Scaling/ It's on sale for under half-price so whatever your hardware this program will transform your performance. And I have a very decent computer and graphics card! Here's the settings I use for an Nvidia 4090. I have assigned Ctrl+Shift+M to toggle the app on / off.
November 18, 2025Nov 18 Agree that this is a no-brainer for the cost. What irks me, however, is the fact that it only works in full screen mode which means that I have to Tab switch between apps. I fly in windowed mode with the taskbar visible at the bottom of my screen. Apart from that it is a brilliant piece of coding.

I have a few apps I need to access on my main computer but once they’re done I engage LS and stay in that mode. I have a second PC that runs a moving map and a laptop that runs AiCompanion for showing other aircraft around me. If you have the space a second PC running WideFS is a real asset.
November 19, 2025Nov 19 I used to have a 2 PC setup back when CPUs weren't as powerful as we have today. Once I built the new computer I retired the second machine planning to use it as a home theatre server but it croaked. Didn't think it was worth resurrecting it so it now spits out the occasional hard drive/ssd etc if needed (backup drives) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
November 21, 2025Nov 21 Hi Ray, What is the benefit of LS over DLSS for you? I'm running a 5070ti and have the FPS in flight sim locked at 30 with DLSS FG doubling it to 60. I'm on a 4k 46" 60Hz Samsung TV and using the latest DLSS DLL's.

I had problems trying to get RTSS to work a while back so gave up. DLSS only works on RTX cards. LS works on all. I have disabled VSync and have set the max frame rate at 29 in RTSS. Then I have a x2 multiplier in LS give me 58 only dropping briefly at very heavy airports with lots of AI aircraft. Very few artefacts now compared to the first release.
November 22, 2025Nov 22 LS has single-handedly enabled me to run essentially max graphics settings in MSFS2024, with high fidelity aircraft at high fidelity large airports... with FS LTL... and be locked at 120 fps. If you do one thing to mod your sim, it should be this.

December 4, 2025Dec 4 I use Lossless Scaling for -almost- one year now and is a must requirement for me. Especially for MSFS

I guess I can always hit the windows key to get the mouse move to second screen. I just copied your settings, I am assuming you have played with all the options.
January 26Jan 26 Author @Anish Sikri, if you need to use the mouse for accessing menus switch it off as movement is tricky. Yes, still using those same settings. Make sure you turn off VSYNC and set a max fps using RTSS. That is then doubled if x2 is selected. All depends on what settings in P3D are important to you. I favour more Ai aircraft than more buildings.
