Mathias Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Hi all. I am interested in developing add-ons for MS Flight Simulator X. I know that I need to learn C++ and all that stuff, but I have a question to active developers: What software do you use, I mean like Visual Studio 20xx, because I want to know how you would convert a code written in VS2010 in the SDK into FSX - Code (VS2005). And I would like to know which software I generally need to develop add-ons for FSX Or DO you use VS2005? And I would like to know which software I generally need to develop add-ons for FSX. Thanks. Lefteris Kalamaras Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Mathias, we use Visual Studio 2010 in house, with several other tools we have developed ourselves. We no longer use any of the FS SDKs as we work mostly outside the narrownlimits of that development platform. Quote
Mathias Posted April 14, 2012 Author Posted April 14, 2012 Ok,thanks for that information. One more, I hope you don't mind: Do you use managed or native C++ Code? Mathias Quote
