MIP & Glare build

My home cockpit MIP & Glare build started today with receiving a nice package from Skalarki.

Package content:

- A320-232 MIP CS side

- HOMELine - Speaker Panel CS

- HOMELine - EFIS Controls CS

- PROLine T on ND Panel

The quality as always top-notch! More stuff will come later. Now back to CAD for further design of the structure . 

I will update later on progress.

Hi Vincent. Yes. I am planning to build CS only for now.

Some more stuff arrived recently:

- HomeLine Glare Wing CS

- Proline A320 Chrono

- Homeline Tripple Gauge

- Proline Isis Panel

And design of MIP/Glare is going pretty well. A few more details and I can start ordering wood frame parts and 3D print all other 

Foot rests and sliding table will move

That is absolutely amazing @Gregory Verba!   Do you know if it would fit a Skalarki setup and if so is it something you would consider making others?

Hi Norman,

I am not sure it will fit Skalarki mip structure (probably not). Although I use many Skalarki components, I designed it to fit my mip structure.

First of all congratulations on the cockpit. That's what I want to do.

Second: Can you share the file so I can have the same structure produced?

Third: The screens used were 1 of 17 and 1 of 19?

i found a dxf online that has the full MIP both sides, but because some parts are cloned it’s really hard to split it out for captains side only.

Would you be kind enough to send over the CAD files you used for your build so I can get the parts laser cut? I have suitable DXF’s for the pedestal and console, I just need the MIP.

hi gregory..can i ask you what material and thickness you used for the glareshield and top??i am getting a full mip laser cut in 12mm mdf..but that thickness is way to much for the glare and top..many thanks in advance..steve

Very nice, i have two questions, which software are you using to run your flightsim, is its MSF2020 0R 24, OR  P3D. if you using MSFS how did you separated the exterior view and  moved it to another screen.Which keys did you used? Thanks.

Rich..if you have a dxf for the pedestal..you don’t mind sending it to me do you..I am trying to locate one with no success..I have the mip..but like yours it’s the full one or I would have shared it if it was captain side..many thanks in advance

Thanks, I have that one but it’s the full MIP not captains side only. I have been trying to reduce that dxf to just captains side only but it’s not as easy as it looked!

i think sim guy is on discord..see if you can find him on there and see if he will design one..he will probably charge hor an ad hoc design though

Ah ok thanks. I don’t mind paying for an adjustment to the existing design. Getting the MIP and pedestal cut, quote I had was about £250 inc VAT for cutting and materials.

I got a quote for £350 for the whole lot full size mip.. minus the pedestal as that’s not been done as a dxf file..that being said I am in the middle of ordering a pedestal from skalarki

I sent the file to my local cutters and just told them which panels to cut and which to ignore. They charged me £100 and that included the moisture resistant MDF too. It doesnt quite fit the Skalarki MIP but I am getting there adding bits here and there to make it fit. 

I am currently in the process of building the pedestal, Im very tempted to buy Skalarki's frame so its just plug and play but just trying to save a few ££ here and there as so far I am a few thousand deep already.

I have a full skalarki pedestal on order..that’s going to be coupled with the sim guy mip frame
