Cockpit and cabin windows seem „more transparent“ hence darker than others, is this intentional or is it an indication that I messed something up?

They are slightly darker - we tried to make them lighter to make hte cabin shades appear whiter behind the glass but then it just looked wrong.

Thanks man! Do you by any chance have your settings/visual add-ons etc. posted anywhere in order to get close to the look of those awesome screenshots?

I don't but it's pretty much stock P3Dv5 with no shader addons and HDR disabled.

Hi Robin,

The problem is that the wings are both mapped to one texture that's mirrored (shared between left and right wings) so you can't paint the text onto the wing texture itself as it'll be reversed on one side.  Instead the FSL uses overlays which are only mapped to a specific part of the wing and does not extend as far out as the text requires so you'll have to live with it as is I'm afraid.  Sometimes we have to deviate from reality due to the model / texture mapping implementation.

Check out Hugos LH package. He included the proper text on the wings but keep in mind its mirrored on the other side.

Next WIP.  A painful experience indeed, especially in 4K.  It's also not complete yet even after 2 days of painting and adjusting all the patterns and triangles to intersect correctly.  The geometry involved here doesn't quite fit with the FSL due to the fact that the rudder is too small on the FSL and the vertical stab doesn't meet the fuselage in the right position but I'm getting there!  The patterns and intricate details of this livery is not a joy to paint and align and I hate it

She's nearly there - I've done most of the geometry align work now.  The only things that remain now is to create the patterns on the fuselage triangles where needed and adjust the belly logo to match IRL (may not be possible).

More patternwork completed this morning after another painful session of aligning

Now there is pretty much just the green and orange patternwork left on the lower fuselage then she'll be out (finally!)

After almost a week of excruciating faffing and alignment work, Air Malta 9H-AEP is finally available here   There are some areas where I couldn't replicate the IRL bird due to extreme texture distortion (mosly on belly areas at the rear) but it should be a fairly accurate representation of 9H-AEP.

Oh that‘s a joy to see. 

I gave this one a lot of "rivet rash" as it shows quite easily on this frame.  Most of the line work now done apart from nose and tail area and then it's onto the belly logo.  I also got the grey looking fantastic using PBR metallic effects

Shame there is no way to make the window blinds brighter. Although I like the idea of them being dynamic, my old setup definitely pleases me more visually.

Due to some challenges with the texture on the bottom of the rear fuselage I've scrapped any plans for EWG. Sorry.

If you can not do a EWG livery any chance for a Laudamotion? Would be nice. I think it is not so complicated

WIP..

I have started work on transitioning over the A320 kit to the A321.  Due to them not having the same scale on the texturing side of things this is a monumental undertaking as most parts have to be remade where downsizing destroys details but it's now at least at a point where it's somewhat presentable

Usual WIP disclaimer as incorrect/misaligned details will be seen.

Since Sept I upgraded my PC to a beast (sourcing a 3090 was a nightmare!) and had some trouble with PhotoShop which is now resolved.  In between all that I was juggling crazy work commitments but things are smoothing out now

Work is continuing on the enhanced A321 kit.  We are hoping to get it out and ready for release sometime this month (if all goes according to plan!)

Ignore the overly obvious rivets; they are darker to use as reference while working on the kit (4K res image).
