Work is progressing on my collab with Hugo and a lot of refinements are currently ongoing to get this ready for release.  Just thought I'd show off two more of a livery I'm working on to show the glorious details we've put into this ;) I spent today refining the PBR on the IAEs

Yep!  I'm planning on doing most of my v4 repaints again but some may not be possible because it took days to get some of them out (like Thai Air Asia Yak Cute which was hand painted).

Great news fair play to you lad! Looking forward to the EI livery, probably the only livery to get the EI colours spot on :D

Hi all,

A few more of Aeroflot (WIP of course).  John completed the normal maps and we are doing final adjustments and tweaks while getting some liveries ready for release to give the kit layout and paint process a solid run.

Wow the amount of detail in these it’s like day and night from the house repaints Even the colours don’t look the same it’s like a completely different  aircraft model thank you a drink your way and jonh’s way as soon as these start getting released

Thanks mate! Don’t forget about Hugo too!  He did the bulk of the non-fuselage work

Guys... Huge hats off to what you have done.

In another thread I said that I wasn’t quite happy with how the external model looks in V5/with PBR, and now I know what I meant with that. It’s not the PBR itself, but the lack of detail in the house liveries/paintkit. This brings it to a whole different level. The only thing is... Now the texturing is so good, the lack of roundness of the fuselage is a bit disturbing. :lol: So how about it devs, maybe a few more polygons in some future update? ;)

Well Antti, I think you're absolutely right. The house/default appearance of the FSL is rather sterile and lifeless. It's been like this from the start, from day 1 though...which leads me to believe that it's a matter of the developers' personal preference. Personally, I prefer textures that add details and are more, well, life-like, but it seems I'll just have to agree to disagree with the devs here :)

Especially since talented folks like Daniel, John, Hugo and many more are here to help.

And here is Aer Lingus EI-GAM, still WIP with lots of fine details to sort and alignments to do on nose, belly and tail area.  I'm experimenting with a new technique on the green as it is *really* difficult to get it looking right in the sim under various lighting conditions.  Let me know what you think!

Lookin' great!

Just one comment about the kit in general: I think the tyres are of a too light color. Maybe it's just the PBR playing tricks, i dunno, but IRL they look blacker. I think the FSL default tyre textures are about right.

Hi Antti,

Thanks for the input, I'm aware of it - it's not due to the albedo but the metallic map for it is too shiny.  Will adjust before release, thanks!

EIN EI-GAM is pretty much done, just waiting for some decal information from Dean Johnston to finalise it.  I tried to get various types of weather and lighting conditions here, hope you enjoy!  It was a real pain to align that nose so perfectly ;)

Once the kit is finalised and tested internally. Just today alone we had 7 changes to the masters which meant updating all the WIP liveries again. 
 

Shouldn't be much longer. Not promising dates cos that just opens up a whole other can of worms :ph34r:

That paint is so minimalistic and sleek, but it perfectly fits to Finnair somehow :) 

Now we just need a good Helsinki scenery - hurry up MK-Studios :D
