Hey Guys

As the topic says :-) Spotlight crasches FSX SE at startup :-(

I Deinstalled it and runned FSX-regestryfixer then installed it again but it still crashes my FSX.

Can you check the Eventviewer see which application/DLL is being listed. Also, can you provide a screenshot of the error from FSX-SE.

Also-

are you running latest DX10Fixer?

@ BOB there is an FSlabsservice.exe running

@ Lefteris Uhm ive read often about the DX10 fixer. Where can I get this tool i only know some where you have to pay for. Are there some tools for free. And on the fixer i have another question is it possible that a missing fixer is the reason why i have no shadows in my ConcX Cockpit or are the shodows only visible in P3D?

Bob asked you to tell him what error you're seeing in the Application log in Event Viewer.

Also- are you running some sort of DX addon like SweetFX or some such?

as I said in the other thread maybe it came at the same time i installed a new driver for my graphic card. i try to redownload the old one later an give it a try

I tried The old Graphic driver, but the failure is still there.

do you possibly have any on-board graphics card as well that is still enabled by any chance? If yes, try to disable it in the BIOS?

onboard grafik is turned off in bios but think i found out what happens to spotlight, but i cant solve the problem. I found out that norton is blocking something from spotlight, i entered a rule for spotlight but it dont work anyway. here is another screenshot.

PS. Sorry lefteris i know you hate Norton I give you the promise that after my license is running out I will buy another antivirus programs. :-)

you might be on to something here.

Can you exclude the folders c:\FSL\FSLSpotlights\FSLService and <FSX Root>\FSLabs entirely from being scanned and see if that works.

I think I identified a small issue with FSX-SE and spotlights that will be fixed in the next version - most likely tomorrow morning. I'll alert everyone here.

The new version which fixes the FSX Steam initialization issue is now uploaded. Please test and let me know if it works OK for you.

With v19 installed, FSX-SE loads without any issues and Spotlights works perfectly....thanks!
