Hi,

I have jsut upgraded my pc and as such updated my firmware on mcp737 (serial Rs-232 connection) to version 3.00

I downloaded the flightsimlabs interface but I'm having a few problems:

1. I am unable to pruchase the full version as the "purchase" icon is shaded out.

2. there is this message in the debug box:

"This is a Serial Port CPFlight MCP unit.

It requires a USB Lock Key for full functionality,

which you have not acquired and/or connected yet.

Please contact CPFlight for further instructions."

- I'm not sure what this means. there seems to be no information on CPFLight website about a "USB lock key"?

3. when the master cautions button is pressed or recall, the mcp loses its numbers, dislays half difits and then shuts down.

Hello Rob-

you should be able to fully test the driver software in your setup, in a restricted area around LGAV airport.

If you are facing hardware problems (unit shutting down), you need to contact CPFlight with them. They will also be able to provide you a USB dongle (USB Lock Key) which will enable the purchase of the driver interface.

I am in contact with CPFlight as we speak.

But I'm still unsure of why resetting master caution would cause errors in the mcp display.

What exactly is a USB lock key/dongle? is it an adapter that is plugged into the mcp panel? Also not sure how this would work as my mcp is not USB

Hi I received the dongle, but I am having problems? Licensing.

I have everything the page asks for but I can't get it to work.

I entered everything accurately, and have checked all the digits.

I have tried both the serial number printed on the back of the mcp and the one on the usb dongle (which is the same as the one that was shown as serial number of fs)

What might be the problem?
