January 1, 197056 yr I have successfully installed and registered the driver for FS2004 for the CPFlight 737 MCP (Serial port version with USB dongle, MCP firmware 3.0) and both MCP and my EFIS?(captain's) are functional --? but the?displays on the MCP?for COURSE (Capt side) IAS, HDG and VS do not illuminate -- only the ALTITUDE and COURSE for Co Pilot are illuminated.? In the PMDG virtual cokpit, all of these displays are functional and respond to changes on the MCP. As others have noted, fliying in daytime the backlighting is out -- need an option to keep that on since many of us do fly in a darkened room and it is hard to see the MCP without the backlighting. As someone else has noted, the N1 key should activate the armed autothrottle on takeoff.? It does (usually press N1 when reach 80 knots) when using the old FS.COM program from CP Flight. Rob Gordon
January 1, 197056 yr Author Happy to report that I solved the problem of the errant display on the MCP by deinstalling the driver and?reinstalling the firmware in the MCP, then reinstalling the driver. Now the MCP is really working beautifully, except for the N1 problem on takeoff and the lack of an option for the backlighting. RG
