January 1, 197056 yr I needed to uninstall FSX to load it onto another HD.? I am experiencing great difficulty trying to get the MCP Pro up and running again.? I have the software loaded and the MCP works in the try before you buy area.? I can?t remember where to place the licence file so the software recognises that I have paid for it.? I have tried to generate a new licence in the hope of getting the installation instructions again.? This has failed repeatedly.? I have tried every combination of upper case, lower case, space and underscore.? I just can?t get it to work. Any suggestions would be welcome Justin
January 1, 197056 yr Justin- the license file goes into the [FSX]\FSLabs folder and it's called FSLabs_GFMCPPro.key - see if you find it in your old PC - it should be there and should work fine when you move it over.
January 1, 197056 yr Author Lefteris, I have copied the file to the correct folder and it works now. I originally moved FS as I was experiencing a fault and wanted a fresh install to see if it would continue. I am experiencing the same problem again. FSX crashes at random intervals, sometimes after 5 min and others after over an hour. No error code is given just that FSX has stopped working. My system specs are as follows: E8400 @ 3.6Ghz 4 x 1GB OCZ mem BFG 280 GXT H2O BenQ 24? Vista 64 As mentioned before I have a clean FSX install and the only add on is the PMDG 747. I use the GF MCP Pro, TrackIR, CH throttle, CH yoke and Pro Flight pedals. I did not install the GF drivers as your software works without it. All drivers are up to date. I uninstalled your software and did a short flight and the crash did not occur. I re-installed and tested again, the crash was back. I tried the test again without the trackerIR running and the crash did not occur. It might be the case that I did not fly long enough in the tests for the crash to occur in the tests. Is there a way to use your software to establish if it is causing the instability? Justin
January 1, 197056 yr Justin- in the crash report, does it mention anything about the FSLabs DLL causing the problem? If it's FSX.exe that's reporting a problem, then chances are it's something else (like out-of-memory issues, for example)... Can you check without the driver and see if the problem will occur if you fly long enough?
January 1, 197056 yr Author Funny thing is that I dont get an error report, I just get the "FSX has stopped working" sign. I am out and about for the next week, so I will try when I get back. Justin
