I have had this software running my MCP Pro and PMDG 747 for a over 2 years now and I am totally happy with it.

But now I am planning to build a new PC.

What do I need to do to move this license over to the New PC? But the same MCP Pro with the same old Srl number on it.

Since this software is linked to the srl number on my MCP pro I would think that I need not do anything. I just reinstall this software (not sure where it is now.. I must have saved it somewhere I am sure) and it should work with my MCP Pro. Right?

Or is there a separate activation process I have to go through again?

What do I need to do? BTW.. I have forgotten the steps I did to get it activated so would need new instructions how to do this. I'll note it down for now and when I am done with my new PC (Ivy Bridge) I will execute the procedure.

PS: I just checked my old saved e-mail and back ups. I have my order number, the serial number of the order and the key file as well. I think thats the key file I saw.. FSLabs_GFMC PPro.key and my MCP-Pro srl number.

I would think by placing my key file whereever I am supposed to...on my new Pc I should be good to go... Unless you tell me I need to generate a new key file on my new PC.

moving the license key to the new computer is enough for the hardware and the driver to be validated!

Hi Lefteris - I have the same issue - I installed the driver on a new W7-64 machine last year for the PMDG 747X, and when I launched the plane for the first time yesterday and connected the MCP-Pro, I was given the choice to purchase it, which I did several years ago. I have the license key from that installation, but I don't remember where it needs to go (it was a WinXP 32 system previously). Please help, as I do NOT want to purchase it again to make it work! (I remember it also powered both GF-EFIS hardware devices perfectly).

the license file goes in the <FSX>\FSLabs folder. It should then be picked up properly.

Hi - I'm back again with the same problem as before, but a different circumstance in that I purchased a new GF airliner captain setup with a new MCP Pro for the new PC I bought about a year ago, because both the old MCP Pro and other GF modules failed, as did the former PC they were attached to, and they ran without any problems until both gave up the ghost. As indicated in my post 3 posts above this (10/26/12), I already purchased a license for the old MCP Pro. I ran the installer on this new system, and it installed ok, but I only get the option to purchase a license when connected to the PMDG B744. Is there a way to make the driver work with my new MCP Pro without having to buy another license, since it is new hardware? The license key is in the proper folder, but no dice....

the license is tied to the MCP serial key. The only way to have the new hardware work is to purchase a new license.
