I Have Mcp Pro A25 With Serial Number

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I got my MCP Pro replaced by goflight and I have firmware A25 installed and I have a serial number, I posted 3 photos with the link below to see that I have the latest A25 and I can go and buy the dirver from flighsimlabs, but the

problem remain the same that evreything works in my PMDG 747 but no display or number on the displays.

Now it's up to you Mr Lefteris to make a few changes in the code and make the display work again with A25. We are here to give you our support and buy your product so please take some of you valuable time and fix this small problem for everyone.

Now for All MCP pro owners that have A25 without a serial number, you can send it to goflight and have them install a serial number for you. If I have it, then everyone else should.

Here is a link with 3 photos showing that I have A25 and numbers on all displays, and the other pages where my serial is posted before buying the driver.

I'm sorry I didn't know how to post pictures on the forum here.

Evan Banalian.

Dear Evan,

if it's a matter of compiling our drivers with a newer SDK, then we'll get right on it but we will first need to confirm with GoFlight that that's the case. They have not communicated any such changes to us, so it might take a few days for that to happen. Please be patient - I'll initiate contact with them soonest.

Thank you very much.

Dear Evan,

I am sorry to say that news from GoFlight are disappointing. They do not install serial numbers in firmwares A25 and above, according to Tony Varela, of GoFlight technologies.

This is very unfortunate and until they have a means to provide a unique signature for your hardware units, there can be no way for us to validate the authenticity of a purchased driver against counterfeits and illegally obtained copies.

Regards,

Thank you for your quick reply, I don't know what to say but I have A25 with serial number and I can buy your product if it works with my MCP PRO, If there is something you can do on your end to make it work, trust me people will complain and force them to install a serial number on A25 like I did, espically that will fix many of these freezing problems, whats the point to pay $$$ for a unit that don't work with a good trusty add on. I'm going to post this on goflight forum hopefully we will get an answer .

Thanks again.

Evan.

Evan,

we will fully support our product in the future, but since GoFlight have officially declared there is no serial number in A25, I will have to go with their word on this. As such, you are very welcome to try and clarify how your particular hardware might be running A25 WITH a serial number, but if the manufacturer says that's not possible, we cannot do much about it, other than simply wait for them to fix.

I have a MCPPRO with the A25 firmware also. When I first installed your driver (Apr-2011) everything went fine, including the numbers on the display. Than I had to migrate to a new PC and the numbers simply gone! I can use the dials and buttons, but no numbers displayed (argh!!!). Removing the license key file of your driver and running your software (buying simulation) show me a screen with my MCPPRO Serial Number = '0306088'. Isn't it a serial number?.

What do you recomend to me? Give up from GoFlight modules and buy CPFlights ones? Please be honest! I just want to have my cokpit back to work as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Andre

As long as the license file is in place and you haven't changed anything, moving to a different PC should not matter, as the license is MCP locked (depends on the MCP, not the PC). Investigate what changed between older PC and newer PC... that's where your problem lies and we can't detect it from here.

There was a problem on the old PC motherborad, so it will be impossible to compare with the new one. I had tried many times to reinstall everyting, unsuccesfully. Even installing just the basics does not solved the problem, so it seems will remain a mistery.

Yep Goflight are selling MCP pros with serial numbers. I got my MCP pro a few days ago and when I installed the driver from FSlabs it shown me my serial number but it is very unfortunate that after paying £60 the driver does not work correctly.

I can unstand that you do not want your drivers copied illegally, but you can atleast help those that have paid for the driver.
