January 1, 197056 yr Author Hi Lefteris! First of all, congratulations on the release of the magnificent PMDG MD11. I haven't had the time to fly her that much yet, but she seems to be a marvellous bird. Secondly, late congratulations on starting up your own business to which I wish you all success! And now thirdly regarding the FSX driver for CPflight MCP! Currently I'm using FS9 but of course I had to install FSX when the MD11 was released. I realize that the FCP in the MD11 is totally different from the MCP in a Boeing aircraft, but would it be possible to add support for the MD11 in the CPflight driver too? What I'm after is a way of controlling the speed, heading, VS and altitude values and really not the FCP functions like PROF, NAV etc. Of course, being able to control trfc, vor, data, wpt and aprt would be a big advantage too! I fly almost exclusively on VATSIM using VC, and not having to fiddle around with the mouse pointer when adhering to ATC instructions is a God send! BR Krister Lind?n EFMA Finland
January 1, 197056 yr Hi Krister- thanks for your kind words! I know you've been a big supporter of my work for the longest time and I really appreciate the vote of confidence! As regards the CPFlight MCP driver(s): The MD11 FCP is sufficiently different from any Boeing-style MCP to not allow an "easy" transition for such hardware. At the same time, there's relatively little demand from users for such specialized drivers. As such, and while I can't promise something, I will say I will consider the idea if more CPFlight owners become vocal and request such a driver. To make sense financially, though, it would mean there would have to be >100 such users requesting it ;-). My best regards to you!
January 1, 197056 yr Author Thanks for your swift reply! I fully understand the situation - the number of simmers willing to pay many hundreds of euros for hardware like the CP Flight MCP certainly isn't overwhelming. Anyway, I'll try and spread the gospel among the...ahem... zero number of friends I know owning the MCP. Have a nice day with your family! BR Krister
