I have been trying to install your interface demo?for the? PMDG 747X,and everytime I get the same message"Cannot find FSXexe". I?opened up ?the FSX properties and edited the security tab, but that did not work . untill I can get the demo to work I am not prepared to risk wasting my money. can anyone help me.?

just some clarifications, to better assist you with the GoFlight MCPPro for FSX driver interface:

1) The downloadable installer you'll find on our web site is not a "demo" - it's a full installer, but will run in area-limited mode, as a full "try-before-you-buy" version. We are THAT sure that it fits your needs :-).

2) If you get a message about the installer not finding FSX.exe, it means you have a corrupted registry key for the FSX installation. There are two ways to fix this, the LONG way (i.e. reinstalling FSX) and the much easier, shorter way, which is a registry fix by Flight1 that you will find in their file library section (click here to download directly).

I have tried using the flight1 registry fix and reinstalling FS10 and both failed to work. I still cant get it working

Can you give us some more detailed analysis of your system?

PC Specs, FSX Specs (locale? English or other?) version, service pack installed, etc.

The installer looks for this registry path to verify FSX's validity:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0

in there, should be a REG_SZ entry called "SetupPath", pointing to the folder where your FSX is installed.

on my PC, for example, it's "G:\fsx\".

Let me know if you see this.

Also, let me know if your Vista is 32bit or 64bit.

I have tried to find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator10.0" but cannot find it. My Vista is 32bit.

you would, at this point, need to get someone to assist you with your PC. Seems your FSX installation is broken, somehow...

I have have found other programs I installed find the fx.exe set up path easly since? I have had trouble with your program.

As I said: It's an issue with your registry. The setup path is somehow corrupt.
