Excuse me for my english. I've updated driver of cpflight, and I've download your interface. When push the button N1 doen't work. Do you know what can I do?

no problem about English - among the team we speak Greek, German, Dutch and a bit of English ;-).

In order to test if something's wrong with the N1 button, please confirm if it works in the PMDG software, but doesn't work in the hardware using the driver (in other words: does it work when you click on N1 button with your mouse?)

OK - perhaps then, you're not following the procedure correctly, as the problem isn't with the driver of the hardware (since it appears also when you click on the simulated button inside the aircraft, using the mouse).

This, unfortunately, is a complicated issue that involves learning correct steps required to fly the airplane with autothrottle properly. The easiest (and most usual problem faced) step is to ensure that generators are online, before trying to do this...

I would recommend that you read up on some very good tutorials that appear on the PMDG forum on how to fly the 737NG - a good one was written by Tim Metzinger (apologies but I don't have a URL off the top of my head)...

Definitely let us know how you progress with that!!!

CockpitSonic had once contacted us regarding the implementation of specialized drivers, but they since haven't renewed their interest. Perhaps you need to write to them to alert them about it.

I wrote to cockpitsonic and said me I need interface mcp cplight with pmdg, cockpitsonic said me I need project magenta but I don't think so.

They would need to provide hardware and documentation to FSLabs, if they want their hardware to work with the PMDG software.

I think the N1 capability?was something CPFlight programmed into the MCP. It was dependent upon using their FS.COM program?and served the TOGA function. The nornal proceedure is to activate TOGA as soon as the engines have stabilized at takeoff power.? Then the autothorttle mode indicator will indicate HOLD?on reaching?80 knots.


TOGA is emulated in the PMDG737, in the 2D cockpit only, by clicking on the scew immediately next to the A/T arm switch. I think CPFlight figured out how to code this to work with the N1 button on the MCP.? This was nice since it would work whether one was using the virtual cockpit or the 2D. In the real plane the TOGA button, of course,?is on the throttles.

AH! Now I understand what everyone meant when they said their N1 button didn't work anymore... :-) It wasn't the actual N1 functionality, but the TO/GA functionality provided by CPFlight as they didn't have a pushable screw to use ;-).

Makes sense. I'll talk to the good people at CPFlight and we'll figure out a solution.

Yes! It is TOGA, not N1, that doesn't work.? I was slightly off about one thing though. On the PMDG747 the TOGA is where I described it, to the left of the A/T switch, but in the 737 the hotspot is the screw in the upper left most corner of the MCP, just to the left of the Captain's COURSE display and it works in both the VC and 2D panels.
