On the Braniff service!

Had a great deal of challenging fun today flying BAW189/BNF189 on the LHR-IAD-DFW run! I had never flown the Braniff service before and it did not disappoint.

After arriving from LHR, we sit at B51, ground crews scurrying about to refuel and turn her around further west.

"Braniff 189 Heavy, wind 280/12, runway 30, cleared for takeoff."

Only took us 10 minutes to reach our cruise altitude of FL320 at M0.95.

Many rumors and anecdotes have been spread about the Braniff crews briefly taking Concorde just past Mach 1 over the remote mountains of Tennessee... who knows if it happened or not? ;-)

Welcome to Dallas! Total flight time 2 hours 14 minutes. And tomorrow it's time to do the return trip!
