January 1, 197056 yr Goflight MCP Pro So, when the MD11 from PMDG comes out and you decide to make the software to work with it and the PMDG (hypothetically speaking), will that come in the form of a patch to the existing 747 compatible FSX program you have already done, or will I have to pay another 50 euros for that one. The reason I ask, is that, I don't mind spending the 50 euros ONCE for FSX compatibility, but I won't be paying that for every aircarft.? I just want to know, because I will obviously wait to decide which aircraft I want to run it with. Bruce
January 1, 197056 yr Dear Bruce- do I detect a tiny bit of hostility in your wording? I would hope not! :-) We're still investigating whether it would be possible to make the GoFlight MCP (and other similar hardware) driver-compatible with the MD-11, given that the MD-11's FCP is very different (with push-pull activity and such dissimilarities). If we end up actually providing more compatibility, we might give it out for free (if it's a simple thing to do and time investment is small) or for a small upgrade fee (if the time resource allocation is higher than what 'free' would allow). This business decision will be made after the technical aspects have been decided though. We are very glad to have you consider becoming our customer! You can always try the software before you buy - this is our guarantee to you that we're fully committed and stand behind our products.
January 1, 197056 yr Author No, no hostility, but with some of my payware add ons having the compatibility already for free, I would hope that the Goflight MCP compatibility would be a one time charge is all. I am not knocking your practice or anything, but most flight simmers (I think) fly many different aircraft and don't want to have to pay almost as much as the aircraft over and over again for the MCP compatibility program. I have not yet bought the 747 for FSX, but it is probably just a matter of time. But when I see the MD11 coming out soon......it makes me ask these questions. Keep in mind, I am very happy that you are supporting the Goflight products, BTW. Bruce
