Ray Proudfoot
One feature of another aircraft I fly is the ability to assign custom commands to device buttons. I have assigned the up action on a Saitek throttle quadrant to Start Elapsed Time and the down action to TOGA. Two actions that previously required mouse clicks can now be far more easily assigned to a button action. Looking at Concorde two actions that spring to mind that would benefit from this are Start Elapsed Time and the Countdown timer for when the reheats are extinguished after takeoff. They are quite fiddly to control using a mouse. This would require an SDK with the relevant actions shown together with a code. Do you have any plans to produce one for Concorde please? Andrew Wilson
Hi Ray, We do have a variety of functions that you can assign to key/joystick combinations through our Input Control Dialog window - something that we've had on the Airbus for some time. These include items such as autopilot and auto-throttle datum controls, ADI command bugs etc. I'll be sure to add the Clock Elapse and Chrono functions to the list of available assignments. 1 Quote Link to comment

I really cannot wait to see this in action ! Have the new VC been progressing nicely ? Quote Link to comment
Ray Proudfoot
@Andrew Wilson, that's great, thanks very much. Unlike the real pilots who used their left hand for the chrono controls leaving their right free for the throttles we virtual ones don't have that luxury unless you're left-handed which I'm not. Fraser Gale
I have my mouse on top of my yoke so I can use the left hand while throwing the throttles. I actually can’t remember how I did it before this as it was so long ago. Quote Link to comment

Steve Prowse
Totally agree Fraz I too only used 2D never did like the VC. Quote Link to comment
Fraser Gale
To be totally honest, I use both. 2D on lower monitor and VC on one above, so things are in the correct place as far as the panel and windscreen are concerned. Quote Link to comment
