Uhm

Well ok now i got the script massage as well. I Installed the 3.0.0.161 version just to proof and even with this version I get the same error like in the Actual verison.

Yesterday the new verion worked perfekt for me.

Hi

It seems the issue comes from Google maps API.
They probably modified their script syntax.
I'm investigating with specialists....

Will back as soon solved.

Best regards

Pierre

I just want to say that your work and dedication cannot be thanked and paid enough, @Pierre95 You are a key part of our Concorde enjoyment. Your tool CPS and your support are worth every single cent donated. I hope to be able to donate for many years to come and that every CPS user become fully aware of the value of such a tool and of such a developer as yourself. Have my most appreciated and sincere gratitude. Merci beaucoup!

Totally agree Ramon. Without Pierre we'd be stuck with the default flights or just guessing the fuel etc for other routes.

I hope Brits will still be able to use it after Brexit! :D

Dear users,

First of all, thanks a lot to Ramon and Ray for their warm words. (Brexit will no change anything for CPS  )

I'm working to solve this issue ASAP.

In the meantime I will compile a version disabling the map temporarily.

So sorry for the convenient.

Kind regards

Hi Pierre,

I also echo the comments above, thank you for all your hard work for the Concorde flying community!

Version 205 seems to work well with RW weather, but I keep getting - " is not a valid floating point value - when pressing the final report tab when using Active Sky weather.

Regards

Dave

I Have to agree Ramon too. Its a verry helpfull tool. Concorde flying wouldnt be so interesting without the tool. Thank you so much for your help and the hours and hours of your time wich you spend for making this programm better and better.

Hi Pierre,

Unfortunately I am still getting the "is not a floating point value error with 205, when using AS weather. It works fine with RW weather

The AS16 exe for FSX is exactly that - AS16.exe. My location is D:\HiFi\AS16_FSX\AS16.exe

Hello Dave

Would you send me a screen of your control panel please.

Are you using AS16 SP1 open beta? It is the only one being able to communicate with CPS.

Cheers

Hi Pierre,

Just to let you know that CPS v205 VIP installed and ran okay with the exception of Google Map which you have temporarily disabled.

I did notice though that the CPS entry is now the last one in DLL.XML. It used to be much higher up. Is that deliberate? The Active Sky Next and FSUIPC entries need to be near the end of the file so they're loaded last. I wonder if CPS being last might have an impact?

Hi Ray

Thanks for reporting.
The location of CPS entry into DLL.XML is deliberate ( easier to code) has no impact (It seems) to others addons requesting entries in it.
If you note any dysfunction on any addons, let me know.

Can you confirm CPS launches AS when clicking Yes on message attached to latest Dave message?

Kind regards

Pierre,

I can confirm that CPS  does launch AS as per command box, at last we can now use AS with CPS, it's great Pierre.  Once again thanks for this excellent software and your excellent support.

Hi Pierre,

I'll keep an eye on performance with CPS in its new position.

I chose AS in Control Panel and then pointed to its folder. E:\ASNext_FSX. That seemed to work okay. I then entered EGCC in the departure airport field and when the date/time dialogue appeared I chose OK but then received the following error: Socket Error #10061: Connection refused.

Exited CPS and tried again. Still got the same error. Any ideas?

LATER: I tried launching ASN manually and got this error message:-
Your XML file located at ... could not be verified. Please fix/delete this file as required to ensure proper ASN operation.

I'm now trying to work out what ASN doesn't like about my dll.xml

Thanks sharky. That's me out then as I'm sticking with ASN. Pierre, you can ignore all this. I'll revert to NOAA weather.

Hi Ray,

In the mail with 205 link it was specified :

"Be sure to use Active sky 16 SP1 Open beta for P3D or FSX."

This version only provide API to communicate with CPS.

Sorry.

Cheers

Steve,

44€ is the upgrade price. That's around 35UKP. Do you need ASCA too? I use Rex cloud textures.

With FSX is the difference really worth it?

Nah Ray, where're you looking......it's 27.99€ well worth it.  I too use Rex textures, excellent it is too, so I don't have ASCA.

Here Steve. http://secure.simmarket.com/hifi-tech-active-sky-2016-fsx.phtml

FSX and P3D versions are separate purchases so when / if I move to P3D I have to buy it again. If you are already using P3D then fair enough but I don't want to have to buy it twice.

Hi,

Is AS16 is launched when planning with CPS?

If you select AS as Wx Source, does CPS display the attached message?
if so Clicking yes does AS16 is launched?

Hi Pierre,

yes, yes and yes.

Everything works as it should until the final Report tab on the final screen, which is when I get the "is not a valid.... etc error message.

Up until then everything is OK, the fuel, balance, takeoff and landing charts all populate OK,

Dave

Ray,

I see simmarket have the upgrade offer, and, like I said, the price is 27.99€........the same price for the upgrade that HIFI are offering on their website well worth it I think.  I use FSX, I think that with ORBX, REX, and AS, not to mention the DX fixes, installed it is as good as is gets!   Now if and  when we get a 64 bit version of a flightsim then and only then would I consider changing my FSX set up,  P3D is FSX with a few cosmetic changes, under the bonnet the code is still the same,  Lockheed Martin are robbing us!   In short HIFI's offer is great value, Ray, go for it.  Moreover it's fantastic that we can now use CPS with AS , brilliant job Pierre!

Is your CPS exe has 17/11/2016 date and 43369 Ko size?

Hi Steve,

You're a good salesman but for now I'm sticking with ASN. My only move from FSX will be to P3D 64-bit and I'll change my wx engine then. If AS16 covered both sims I would buy now but not with separate versions.

Hi Pierre,

That worked!

Excellent!

Dave

Great,

This was caused because the old both old and new exe had the same build number, so the installer did'nt install the new one as It found one already installed.

I will modify the installer code to avoid this.

Blue Skies,

Holy Moly

I saw that you are working on 2017 version ;-). Looks verry interesting. That will be a nice thing if it is ready to go.

I'm looking forward to it

Hello Captains,

(video)

Very nice! I have some feedback, though...

  • There's a minor spelling error present in the UI. At 0:31 in the video, the status message says "Airport not in databse" when it should say "Airport not in database"... Just pointing it out.
  • I think that having the 'Select Route' menu as a window that appears when you enter the departure airport would be more user-friendly than having it the way it is now (closing the trip planning window and having the selection box appear on the main menu, before the trip planning window reappears). I think some newer users might get confused about such a system, especially without a tutorial.

I hope you'll take this into consideration. Thanks for taking the time for programming and maintaining the incredible program that is CPS... Can't wait for CPS 2017!

Hi,

Thank you for remarks and thoughs...
I will correct this ASAP, You've surely seen that CPS Main screen on video shows CPS 2016 instead of CPS 2017. This has been corrected.

You are may be right, but there will be a very detailed manual and tutorials when (and before) CPS 2017 will be released.

All suggestions are welcome.

Kind regards.

Hi Pierre,

The video looks good and I look forward to the finished product. One suggestion I would make is not including the year in the new title. In a little over a year we will be in 2018 and software with 2017 in the title may feel like last year's software.

How about naming it CPS v4 or CPS-X to pinch another idea? ;) It could then last years without the title being linked to its launch year.

Ah, excellent! My UI suggestion was just for user-friendliness, keeping it the way it is works too even if it is a bit unconventional.

Hi Captains,

Ray and Fcisuperguy, your title suggestions sounds very good and I'll keep it into account.
The UI one seems good too and I will include a little dialog box over the trip planner module in which the user will able to select the pln file instead of comin' back to main screen.

Thanks to you for involvement.

Kind regards
