Hello Karsten and Steve,

Would you please let me know the complete path for "dll.xml" file on your computer?

Thanks

Pierre,

I've downloaded the new version as per email, CPS 3.0.0.192_VIP setup, and still getting the same runtime error.  As requested here is my path for the dll.xml file

C:/Users/steve/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX/DLL.xml

Hi Steve,

Is dll.xml is wrote in upper case?

If so, would you rename it in lower case and try once more time to install?

Cheers

Changed the font size Pierre, but still the same runtime error.  I did check the dll file and CPS is writing to it:

<Launch.Addon>
  <Name>CPS</Name>
  <Disabled>False</Disabled>
  <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
  <Path>CPSModulesStart.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

What it is not doing though is writing to/creating a directory to install into....hope this helps...

The Lines wrote by CPS are normal.
Do you have another file called : "dll.xml before_CPS.xml" ?

It should be present and not contains the lines concerning CPS.

Let me know.

Cheers

Yes the dll file is there:

Is it just  Karsten and me having these issues?

Same for me as well. It was present on the previous version for me as well (CPS 3.0.0.191)

Hi,

Until now only 3 users got the issue.
Version 191 was downloaded 41 times.

It is very odd.

I will modify the install script and give you here a link for test.

Pierre,

I haven't installed the latest version as I'm doing the round-the-world tour.

Happy to test once my trip has finished.

Hi Ray,

Did you install191?

Hi Pierre,

No, currently running 3.0.0.180.

Pierre,

As you know I had the problem with 191.  I uninstalled completely, and now when I run 192 (VIP version) I am getting the error code, but not now getting the option to ignore it, so it won't install at all.

Hi Pierre,

It ran, but with the same result as 191. (ie the error message appeared, but closing it left the ignore option so that it could be installed)

One of the earlier posts mentioned the dll.xml file - I had a look at mine and there seems to be multiple CPS entries - could this be causing any of the problems?

You can delete all CPS entries in dll.xml except one.
The new install should not write more.

Sorry Pierre,

I am a little confused, do I leave this one, deleting all the others below it?

Or do I delete that one, plus all but one of the ones in the next section?cps2.JPG

Hello Captains,

Are the users having the issue have only FSX-SE installed?
This could be the issue reason.

Thanks

Sorry Pierre I should have mentioned this to start with, but I only have FSX installed.  Thanks

I do.  (long time since I said that last:D)

Would you please, copy and paste the installer causing the issue into: C:\Users\[YourName]\
Once done, launch the command prompt and type: [Name of the Installer].exe/LOG="CPS.log" then press ENTER

This launch installer and create the log file in which all performed action have been recorded.
If all is good you should have in this folder a file named CPS.log.
Send me it.

Thanks in advance

Hello Pierre,:

I have uninstalled my current version of CPS and tried to install 3.0.0.192. I had the following error message during the install...

I seem to have such bad luck with this CPS...it almost never works for me.  Today I installed the latest version and get an error "unable to run scripts"  "google not recognized"  to you want to continue to run scripts yet/no.  Any ideas?
