Michael Gold 3
I've just added two ACTs to one of my A321s and I went in to update the max fuel in SimBrief and in double checking my weights I noticed the DOW didn't change from before -- I assume the tanks aren't weightless, but are they negligibly light? Or should there be an increase and it isn't modeled? Link to post
Felipe Widmano 102
They should, at least irl. One ACT weighs 400kg according to Airbus, which I wouldn't exactly call negligibly light. On the other hand, as long as you end up with a correct ZFW with regards to your flight planning results...it shouldn't make a huge difference flying-wise. Link to post
Markus Burkhard 1166
It's not a question of ACT weight being "modelled" or not. We've given you the freedom of specifying any empty weight you wish, because there are so many variations out there. And just because an aircraft features an ACT, doesn't mean it has to be heavier than one without it, obviously. So you simply specify the desired empty weight manually. Link to post
