Autopilot question

Dear fellow FSLabbers,

I am in my own learning process and now practicing Abnormals and emergencies.

Firstly, after I had the failure I usually want to enter a hold at PPOS (present position). Is there any way to select this in airbus FMGS?

Secondly, after I have activated my ALTN in the FPLN page, The lateral mode changes automatically into NAV and gives me a direct to the ALTN. What can I do to enable my ALTN (So It allows me to enter DEST data) but without getting a direct to ALTN immediately?

I am using TOPCAT for performance and I am aware of other options but what is the best tool where you can also select Nonnormals?
