Sharklet Hype

Recommended Posts

Guess we will have to wait and see what next week brings.

I mean my V5 is pretty stable but if FSLABS waits til next week or longer to release its not a big deal. The Maddog comes tomorrow and the 747 works great right now so those two will keep me busy for a while.

and if so, we would delay the upgrade of the A320 and the release of the Sharklets

If it is so we have to wait much longer for an update if LM release every two weeks a HF to get v5 a little more stable

Yup, Those will be last as far as we know and with how much work it must take I am sure it’s a ways off. I am hopeful to fly some sharks on the 4th of July

You know, when you download the installer, you can just run it and it'll do everything for you? No need to uninstall, unregister etc. Just run the installer and it does all of that.

Same reply as the other poster....yes I'm aware..lol.  Done this a time or two before.

Er - Nathan - do you mean the side stick? Are you referring to the button modelled in the virtual cockpit?

Cause you can map it to your own joystick.

I can't wait till MSFS comes.....So people won't be playing with .cfg files and crush Sim intentionally.....

You must be new here :P

We don’t know when updates come until they’re announced. If you take that approach then you’ll be happier when it finally does arrive.

Another alternative is FSL releases updates for A320 family with all the goodies and then the sharklet for V4 first and then when V5 becomes stable then they can work on it again.

That way we all can enjoy the new updates and also sharklet on V4 now and dont have to worry about when V5 will become stable.

We’re testing the release candidates for the A320 - so we’re close. It’s a fantastic update with a tremendous amount of effort from the whole team.

Always pleasant to read your messages Andrew.. hope you are doing well & safe!!! You are a GREAT asset for FSL; your messages meaningful, informative, simple and non-intimidating than few in FSL;

Strongly that the boss presses the red button to release the update. I could finally resume my medium-haul flights.

The MD80 P5D upgrade is out for anyone who has the P4D. It'll tie you over until the 320 is out.

This may have been mentioned somewhere but cannot locate, with this next S8 update, will all the repaints done by 3rd parties need to be redone/redownloaded or is that with the SL?

The update that is coming has pbr which requires all 3rd party liveries to be updated.

For the 319/320 they’ll need to be redone as they will now be PBR.

Hello Mr.Wilson

Am i able to use your metallic cfm cowling texture you used on the 321s & put them on the 320 paints? it was a simple drag and drop per 321 paint i installed & wondered if the same could be done on the 320? also if so, would that make any difference as i would do it in v5?

Evening David,

It won’t work sadly. I’ve already tried that. I’m not sure if it’s due to v5, different texture properties on the A320, or both.

May I politely inquire why it's possible for other developers to add PBR without the need for people to completely redo their liveries (For a 3rd time..)
