Well a nice start to 2019. Have been flying out of lowi for the past few days in the sim and already a great place for the airbus family.

Happy New Year dear Flightsimlabs team!

Are you sure we cannot take a look at the cockpit ^_^ ? Especially the printer (with some load sheets)?

Thanks Charle

Well, I’d say what you’re asking to be shown will soon be revealed in ‘due time ‘

@koen meier LOWI is great fun especially the approaches

I was testing the special performance departure which are rnav. And the lateral guidance was superb. I will try next time to fly into lowi.

Time for another A320-X preview of the upcoming update

Thank you very much for the teaser, Dean!

I haven't bought A319-X as I personally prefer A320 (and A321, hint, hint).
However as the waiting for the updated A320 is (was?) longer than I expected, I was just going to buy the A319-X just to get the extra features.
But since the A320 update is upcoming, which I hope means the wait is over, I will wait for the update.

I have three short questions if you don't mind:
1. Except for the awesome icing effects visible in the screenshot, will this upcoming A320 update add the rain windshield effect which is available in A319-X?
2. If it's YES for question 1, does the windshield effect also work with snow (I haven't seen it in any video)? I'm asking since it's winter here in Europe.
3. Is the warm season windshield bugs feature possible to switch off and on (I have no idea)?

I literally can't wait to get my hands on the update.
All the best again! :)

@Rafal Haczek delighted to hear that !answers to your questions:

1.The upcoming update will include the Rain effects in the A320

2.I’m sure it does

3. There’s no ON/OFF for the windshield bugs but every time you fly or every few times you can just clean the windshield in the MCDU->MAINT->Cockpit Windows:Clean

The rnav approch for rwy 08 is awesome. Twisty path between the mountains makes it my all time favourite.

@Dean Johnston is it pbr reflections we can see on the fan blades ?

Looking at the turbine fan blades it is looking very "PBRish"...

But I'm wrong, isn't it?

The leading edge and nose cone and maybe the nose gear has a nice reflection too..is this default?

AFAIK FSL stated that the following update will NOT include PBR yet.

i was hoping in a release around the New Year, but those words, "soon" and "in due time" frighten me a lot, they were used 3 months ago as well. Looks like it's never a "due time"...

For Christ Sake, show some patience.

As I said previously, I rather have them take more time, than release a bug-filled product.

Just then, everyone will bitch around why the bugs have not been detected or cleared before release, thus demanding an immediate fix etc.

When it comes to release notes, or preview notes, let them have their fun in raising the anxiety bar.

Enjoy the lovely winterly shot, and I am wishing FSL also a Happy New Year! Looking forward to all the upcoming releases.

Please enlighten me , why would a developer release around a celebrated period of time between Christmas and New Years when almost all developers enjoying some time off like everyone else for the Christmas holidays... I seen a few of your posts on this and other social media sites which are quite impatient ones , just be have some patience it’ll be worth it in the end

No, no, i meant that I "hoped" that it could be released say on Jan 4-5, but from experience, those "soon" and "due time" usually mean that at least around a month is still to go...

Yeah, but it narrows slightly, which suggests me that it's the shadow of the Sharklet. :D Probably I'm trying to see something that isn't there.

It isn't a sharklet. The narrowing is from the drooped aileron.

:D since the word „soon“ has been around and used over and over since september, there is no way to tell what that actually means for FSL. could be a month, several months, a few days.....

I’n sure we will all be surprised and excited when we see the (sudden) news/release. And then all the „pain“ that came with the half year of waiting will vanish instantly!  :D

Yes, sorry if I forget about any further messages, but the latest news I remember are that it should have been released before the end of the (past) year...

The thing is all fslabs liveries have the same registration which is SX-FSL. Some airlines put the last two letter on the nose door. I know that Lufthansa does this.
