About This File

Please find enclosed a fictional repaint of Canadian Pacific Airlines A319-115 for the FSLabs A319 Airbus.

This colour scheme was easily identified from the early 1970's through the mid/late 1980's as that of CP Air.

The Empress of Vancouver was a B737-200 that reportedly entered CPA's fleet in 1969. The majority of the B732 fleet did not adorn the "Empress" name, as was common for the CPA fleet...reference photos did show "706" with the Empress of Vancouver name with her Expo 86 livery scheme.

After completing the TCA repaint a few weeks ago, I was asked the question...wouldn't it be cool if Air Canada did a retro repaint of the CP Air Orange livery?

Included in this file are two sets of textures...one for CPA with Air Canada markings (what would be assumed if ACA introduced this livery onto an A319 in their fleet) and the other without reference to Air Canada...given the rivalry between the two companies at the time, it's doubtful that we will ever see ACA introduce this livery IRL!

Install the "texture.CPA Empress of Vancouver" folder into your main FSLabs directory:

\documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FSLabs\SimObjects\Airplanes\FSLabsA319 CFM

From the additional folders, just swap the textures for whichever repaint you prefer to fly.

Many, many thanks to FSL for their terrific simulation and for the inspiration from the great repainters on this site, and others!

I hope you enjoy this repaint!
