About This Club

In the recent years I have designed some tools, which might be useful for some of you. Feel free to have a look and see if you can use any of these apps. I always appreciate feedback and comments. However, please consider that these tools were developed in my free time, so do not expect fully matured applications.
  1. What's new in this club
  2. Hi everyone, in the recent past I have tried out a few things regarding web development. As a small result, I transfered the Trim Calculator App from an Android App to an Web Application. For those of you interested, it can be found under the following link: http://6bf5de.online-server.cloud:8099/TrimCalc/Trim Kind regards, Jan

    Understood, thanks!
  4. Jan Stiebitz

    TPC Pro

Yes, only the ones from the big blue german airline
  5. Stu Antonio

    TPC Pro

Okay, so it's only "Big Blue" aircraft? .... not usable when I fly something else? (I swear, it worked with HB-JXB half an hour ago....)

Hi, according to the logs only invalid registrations were queried. Tip from my side, read again what I wrote in the initial post.
  7. Stu Antonio

    TPC Pro

And it's again not working. After 1 successful calculation, I now get only grey fields after I enter a valid aircraft registration even with the reg that worked before. Seem like it's not recognizing the aircraft. Airports are recognized just fine.
  8. Stu Antonio

    TPC Pro

    Yup, thanks, working now! Awesome!
  9. Jan Stiebitz

    TPC Pro

Hi, I restarted the server, please try again.

Hi Jan, it's not working here. It is doing nothing, I can't enter anything and it's showing Vers:ERROR DB:ERROR in the upper left corner. Did I mess something up? (using Galaxy Tab A 2016) Thanks!

Hi everyone, Development completed, time to release. First of all my big thanks goes out to Roland Wukovitz on whose TPC software this app is based on! Please be aware that this app is the result of my spare time, thus, as always do not expect a fully matured software, do not upload the file anywhere else and do not use it for real world operations. Also expect occasional down times of the server. There are a few known bugs: - Sometimes the OS kills the app when it is in idle for too long and thus makes it crash on restart. - The calculations of the second segment and obstacle clearance limit weights is not yet perfect. The GUI is optimized for a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e. You are of course free to use it on any device you like, however, if the interface does not resize perfectly on your smartphone, smartwatch or fridge, there is not much I will do about it! Some more serious issues: be aware, that the server software does note your IP address, time, and issued queries. Moreover, there is a software running on the server to detect any malicious behavior, so please go easy on the number of queries, as otherwise your IP may get blocked. If somebody wants to waste a bit of time, I would appreciate if someone could run calculations for all four flap configs and could confirm, that always the lowest config with the highest Flex Temperature gets recommend as the Optimum config. Comments for improvements and feedback is of course always appreciated. However, this app aims to replicate a software used by a big blue German airline, thus, recommendations should be based on the real world counterpart. The available registrations are based on that particular airline as well. Have nice flights and a good weekend! Best regards Jan

Hi, Actually I wanted to release the software today, however I have noticed, that there were some attacks on the server running the database. Thus, I have to invest a little bit of time in making the server more secure. I hope this will not take too long. Kind regards, Jan

    How's it coming along?

    TPC Pro

Hi everyone, I thought you might appreciate a little status update: In the past week I was working on two features: 1.) The Modify button, which you can see on the GUI, is functional now (take a look at the attached screenshots).* 2.) I rented a server, made the server accessible from the outside, uploaded the necessary data, and made the resources callable. *Please note, I have no intentions to do the same for the MEL/CDL/Special-Button, as those items would have various effects on the performance calculations. What I have to do now is to rework the logic in the app itself to work with web services instead of a local database. Moreover, there are a few more things to do in regard to the server. Best regards, Jan

Sounds like a race against the FSL-sharklets-expansion-efb then If you need testers, drop me a line Viel Erfolg!

Hi Stu, sorry for the late response. I have two other projects I need to complete before I can continue my work on the TPC Pro. I expect to continue my work in a few weeks.

  18. Version 0.9.9

Yet another PDF viewer, however tailored to my needs. The app supports navigating through PDF files by buttons (jump one page to the back/front, jump to the last/first page.) Zoom by pressing buttons. All functionalities are available by gestures as well, e.g. pinch to zoom etc. A night mode is also available. The tool uses the Android PDF Viewer library by barteksc: https://github.com/barteksc/AndroidPdfViewer The tool was designed for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 5S, thus there might be scaling errors when used on smaller or larger devices. Designed for Android. Do not use for real world operations! No warranty is given! Please do not upload this file anywhere else!

    TPC Pro

    Version 0.0.1

    35 downloads

Based on the logic of TPC, I started to develop a tool providing some more values and improved GUI. However, there are a few things I need to improve: - Moving the database from an embedded SQLite to a MariaDB running on a remote server - Developing a backend logic to update the EOSIDs on a monthly basis - Improving calculation logics for the Second Segment-, Obstacle-limiting weights To be released soon™
