Hi I downloaded 5.0.0.3 spotlights but when installed and open about it is 5.0.0.1 can you pkease help.

Good afternoon! I recently purchased the A321 CEO and NEO.

However, both aircraft crash when loading. The logs show errors related to kernel32.dll and ucrtbased.dll, and messages about stack overrun are reported. Among my paid aircraft, only the Fenix works fine. What could be causing this?

I want to know Why I´m not being able to reinstall version 1.0.0.38 that was working normally in my simulator (FSX SP2).

I had to reformat my machine and now when I want to install Spotlights, that image that I share in the screenshot appears.

I will be grateful if you can help me solve this problem.

hallo, guys, I'm trying to install the three downloads of the spotlights but when I get to the third one with V5.0.0.1 it gives me THE MESSAIO WHO EXISTIN p3d v5 VERSION IS OLDER THAN 5.0.20.34709 PLEASE UPDATE YOUR p3d INSTALLATION. but I have the latest version of Prepar3D_v5_Academic_5.4.9.28482.zip

Sorry, spotlights is new for me. Is there a control panel for 5.4? Not sure how it’s supposed to work or download the profiles and where to put them

FYI When you install the lights ensure on the Spot Light app to adjust/ turn the lights on and off at the first trial. Should you have any issues please drop a line.

It worked normal a couple of days ago. But the the Taxi, Take Off and Landing Lights didnt work. I tried to reinstal it but it didnt work. I dont know what to do?

Hi,

Prepar3D v5.4 (5.4.9.28482)
-Spotlights connects correctly to P3D.
-I have access to all editing commands.
-The problem is that there are no more lights.

-Tested on several aircraft.
-Tested with previously made configurations which worked.
-In Fslabs Control Center (Experimental) everything is up to date (aircraft and Spotlights).

The version in the control center is 5.0.0.5 but curiously in the program properties (File explorer), under the Details tab the version indicated is 5.0.0.1!

VR settings causing problems with Flood lights

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help with settings for VR.

I have tried support but they couldn't find any reason for the problem.

Basically I have discovered the flood lights in the cockpit don't work on my HP reverb G2 using the Update 'Sync mode'.

The only way I can get them to work in VR is by changing the sync mode to 'Pre-Render', however this causes stuttering and seems to be a known problem with P3D and Windows MR headsets.

Does anyone have any settings they use with the HP reverb G2 and have successfully got the flood lights working?

FSL Spotlight not installing correctly

I had FS Spotlight for P3D V5.2 installed and all worked fine. I inadvertently uninstalled it and tried to re-install but the folder only has a main folder "SPOTLIGHTS", 2 sub-folders, "DLLs" and "EFFECTS" plus a file "add=on.xml". nowhere is there an .EXE file to open the the program, as it did before. I re-downloaded, but the same thing has happened.

To the FSL creators, thank you for this awesome product, and thanks again for making it freeware!

About a month ago, FS Spotlights began to crash my copy of FSX Acceleration suddenly on startup. No changes were made prior to the error. Initially I just uninstalled the program and all worked fine. I could work without it. Now I'm dealing with an airplane that simply will not take my edited lightmaps for some reason, so to avoid using the awful default night cockpit flood lighting, I would like to get FS SPL working again. After two days of fighting with the program, I have narrowed the issue down to the FSLSpotlights_FSX.dll.

My problem began with the FS Spotlights "has not initialized correctly" message. Reinstalling was the suggested course of action, and that did not work (I made doubly sure to delete EVERY FSL related folder regarding Spotlights). I added full permissions on every FSL folder on my system, that did not work. I edited out the DLL entry in my DLL.XML file in .../Roaming/Microsoft/FSX/dll.xml, which apparently bypasses the Spotlights error, and finally my sim starts up.

Once I've begun a flight, I open the manager, and there's no light options in the groups window pane. Not surprising if the dll entry has been edited out. But I can't get FSX to run any other way as long as FS SPL is installed.

I've been pulling my hair out troubleshooting this for two days now and have combed every forum for an answer. I've gotten nowhere. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

My specs:

Intel i7-4700MQ

FSX Acceleration

NVIDIA GTX 745M

FS Spotlights v. 1.0.0.38

I did have SweetFX but have since deleted that program and its associated files in an effort to troubleshoot - to no avail either.

d3d9.fx is the only .fx file in my FSX root directory.

I just did a full reinstall of p3d v4.5 and there arent any spotlights in the cockpit. I reinstalled spotlights newest version, but that didnt work.

Landing light effects in clouds at night FSL A320

Hi all,

I really like the effects of flying through clouds at night with turned on landing lights of the FSL A320. Is this effect a part of FSL Spotlights which can be ported to other aircraft? For example to the PMDG aircraft? Or is it an effect which is only done specificly for the A320 series.
